Epcot’s Festival of the Arts Scavenger Hunt

Who doesn’t love a good festival? The food, the sites, the exhibits and performers all blend to create a lovely experience.

Disney’s Epcot is one of my favorite places to attend a festival! Currently, they offer three festivals. These include The Festival of the Arts, The Flower and Garden Festival, The Food and Wine Festival and The International Festival of the Holidays.

What do each of these festivals have in common? Each one features a special scavenger hunt, complete with prize.

I love these scavenger hunts! Firstly, they are affordable ($7.99 before passholder and DVC discounts). Secondly, they appeal to a lot of ages. My kids range from 12-22 and all 4 of them LOVE participating in this scavenger hunt.  That right there is a modern-day miracle.

One of the things I love most about this particular scavenger hunt is it gets us all interacting and working on something TOGETHER. That is how bonds form in families.

When your family completes this game, redeem your card in a designated store for a prize. The prize usually includes something like a themed cup, patches, puzzle etc.

Since my age bracket is less concerned about the prize, we usually only purchase one card.  You know your family, so you do you. From the perspective of someone with 4 older kids, this works for us.  I however am also know to have Harry Potter reading contests to see who actually gets to buy a wand at Universal.  That is another story for another day.

Ok, back to the scavenger hunt. Currently, The Festival of the Arts is happening in Epcot through mid-February. This means that right now families are searching for images of that whimsical dragon, Figment within classical pieces of art around the world.

Last February, Thing 2 and I took a trip to Epcot and tried this particular scavenger hunt out!

We got a map shaped like an artist’s palette from Disney’s Traders Port of Entry Shop and away we went!

Thing 2 is our resident artists, so finding Figment within classical international pieces of art was particularly appreciated by him. Having said, that, I maintain that ANYONE would have fun with this particular experience.

All in all, this particular experience gets 12 enthusiastic thumbs up from our crew! Enjoy!
